Regional FOs at many airlines are earning this or more. This year I’ll earn roughly $60K and I take a lot of time off. I’ve worked less than 160 days this year. And commuting isn’t the end of the world by any means... Endeavor now offers a positive space ticket if you miss a first flight and the AA WOs have commuter clauses and mainline parity for boarding priority on all AA branded flights. Not to mention most offer monthly money for hotels and parking etc... When the next round of pay increases hits the regionals in 2018 I’m not sure how 135 and 91 flight departments are going to keep up.
