My guess is the guy who claimed he heard it in class was full of it, but has a peer at Compass who told him about the FA JS. If someone is saying it over at SkyWest in ground school, then it needs to be addressed, more likely it is just the one FNG that’s out there claiming to be entitled to a JS (which is pretty ridiculous, since a jumpseat is the captain’s to offer anyway).
