Unless you have a mortgage, most people won’t be able to claim anything.

Tips and hotels that I pay for (tips to van drivers provided by the company not allowed). Things I buy that are required for work, such as headsets and uniforms (less what I buy at crew outfitters, since it’s provided by the company).

The phone and internet thing, I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole, personally. It is not required for work (can do all I need to at work in that regard). Some will argue it, but I am not willing to prove to the IRS the portion of my cable bill or cell bill that is used for work; too subjective IMHO. I don’t dry clean anything except the coat, but basically anything you spend to launder your uniforms. M&IE that is unpaid by Endeavor up to the DOT allowable amount.

State/local sales tax, and state income tax paid last year are also available as deductions.

And if this new tax bill goes into effect, it’s highly unlikely that the majority of us will be able to itemize at all because the standard deduction will increase to $24K for a married couple ($12K single).
