Don't you want to have some pride in the company you work for? There is absolutely no other reason to go to Mesa except for a Houston base. I've been in the regional recruiting world and I have seen many pilots with 5 or 6 plus checkride failures get hired at Mesa. As one post mentioned, DWI's? Go to Mesa. Failed out of 121 programs? Go to Mesa. And no, not all regionals have this practice. It's a dangerous practice. Just because you can force someone through training with 10 extra SIM sessions and 80 plus hours of IOE, doesn't make them a safe or professional pilot. It's a disgrace to our profession and hurts the entire industry. Have some respect for yourself and the industry. Go somewhere else.
There is no other regional in Houston that can get me to Captain the fastest. I cannot afford FO pay for a family of 4 for how many years at Express Jet. Everyone on here says steer away from commuting if possible to give you the best QOL. As for my record, I’m squeeeky clean.
