As one of the many people waiting for a class date at United, I’m curious to know: can anyone provide some current insight on what reserve life is like as a new hire? I’m assuming most new people will be narrowbody and be based in EWR or SFO, and most will also have to commute for a while before holding any other bases.

I know it can change almost on a whim, but I don’t know how it will compare to what life on reserve is like at the regionals. I’m sure it’s better, but to what extent?
