They will say whatever they have to say to keep you working until their predetermined shut down date. Then when the cat is out of the bag and the date has been announced, they will turn to bribes. The rumor that United will buy you guys and staple you is one of the best I've ever heard. In the unlikely chance UAL takes a 49% stake, the most you'll get is a guaranteed Hogan. Direct flow is dead because then they lose control of their hiring. UAL still has thousands of qualified applicants on file, and they can afford to be choosy. AA is an anomaly and not everyone over there thinks its grand.
