This brings up an important point. In order for you to be officially notified of anything (SC, rest, a change in pickup time, a trip assignment, etc.) it must involve some sort of two way communication. At DL, that can take many forms: for example, acknowledging a CNO text, acknowledging an iCrew pop-up, responding to an ACARS message, or talking to a scheduler. So just seeing an R on a schedule check doesn’t really mean anything.
I think, in your case, you would get a pop-up when you checked
your schedule anyway. If you acknowledge that pop-up, then you’ve been officially notified.
