Although I do believe a flowthrough by United is needed to have stability at their feeds especially for the future, a buyout by them doesn't guarantee they will give a flow through... There is a chance they may just keep the CPP as is for awhile. If you are planning on leaving soon or have class dates setup at Envoy or other regionals make sure there is a flow announced with the buyout before cancelling that class date.... if they decide to keep CPP in place then nothing really changes as far as your chances of getting to UAL, then at that point you shall continue to get to that class at Envoy. I think most people believe an automatic buyout means you are getting a flow or Ual seniority number. If an announcement comes soon, make sure you know the details first before any decision is made on leaving or not. I just wanted to get that out there because I keep seeing everyone say something must happen soon before the exodus starts,(which i agree with) but if they decide to keep the CPP as is then that really does nothing to help keep the pilots from leaving. If I was a junior FO, I would leave still if they bought XJT and just kept CPP in place. Id be at AA in 5yrs if I went to Envoy or maybe less the way AA is retiring in the future. Just a thought.....but i do believe the times have changed and a flow is needed, but what United will do is anyones guess!! lol
