If I'm reading your post correctly, this is what happened. Since you are still on long call until your 0200 rest starts, they can call you between midnight and 0200 to assign you a long call notification, which is what happened. Since the other pilot has SC at 1000, he is already in rest at 2200 and not available for the short call notification you got. Bad news is you won't get credit for short call on top of getting the trip.
It’s to bad DALPA won’t enforce the contract on this one. SRH is the only place it says you are on LC when you aren’t on SC, so it must be some sort of concession/agreement we’ve made with the company. The actual PWA says you are on LC on days you aren’t assigned to SC, so you wouldn’t be on LC from 0000-0200 if you have SC later that day. Small but useful difference.
