There's no "I" in "TEAM".
But there is an "M" and and "E".
You are a number on a seniority list... thats all. The only team that exists is the crew you're flying with on a trip and the union that represents you. This is not the military... it is a job... simple as that... so please don't insult us with the "Team" or "Its all about me" comments.
Our union and its membership agreed to the terms of this UPA... this agreement allows sick calls and mil leave to be used as deemed necessary by the pilot.,, nowhere does it say we have to crap out a doctors note because a pilot doesn't like the idea of being called on reserve to fly a trip over a holiday period. Bottom line is WE don't need to be policed by other pilots or management... we just need to follow the UPA and go home after a trip is done... thats all.
Please don't ever volunteer to be on our negotiating committee... sorry to be harsh over the holidays but this thread is ridiculous and petty.
Merry Christmas
