I am thinking of doing flight school through ATP, as I am 27 and feel behind in the game. Im sure i could suffer through 2 years being jammed into a baron/172 ect.. But what about the next 3-7 years as a regional? I cant easily sit in all those planes to test them out.

I need the truth, preferably from all the other giants out there.

What issues will I face? Will I even fit?

Your biggest issue will be smoking your dome on doorways and other "low" hanging junk (e.g. exit signs, overhead switches, etc.). After awhile you'll develop a habit of ducking anytime you're getting in or out of the airplane. I'm finally flying a plane I can stand straight up in and it still affords me many opportunities to bash my skull on stuff.

That said, with attrition the way it is, you'll be in and out of the regionals within 3 years. You won't have any issues fitting in the seat.

Skål!
