On average, the number of hours that reserves get paid for in a month vs the number of hours they actually fly is much greater than lineholders. I am amazed that many pilots don’t just bid reserve in slower months. I just checked Denver Airbus FO and most reserves have flown between 20-50 hours and the month is almost over. Must suck to fly 20 hours and get paid for 73.
