I'm not going to complain about them having to go, you know, train to protect me or alternatively participate in ops supporting our troops in a war-zone.

Some of you may be forgetting we are fighting on multiple fronts and someone has to:
1. Fly fighters
2. Fly AWACS
3. Fly refueling missions
4. Fly transport missions (like bringing home wounded marines and soldiers)
5. Train to do all of the above (Don't forget you gotta have aircraft supporting the training too!)
6. Sit hot standby incase Vlad gets wacky / 9/11-2 happens.
