Does stuff in the back pockets get crushed when the bag is gate checked? What is a shirt shelf? And, do you use the internal divider? I like the idea, but I also feel it might be a gimmicky waste of internal space.

Back pocket is for magazines and papers: I wouldn’t put a laptop in it or anything crushable. No idea what a shirt shelf is. Dividers velcro in, I threw them out and just use the middle of bag for clothes and the straps to hold stuff in place. Happy with the bag, but it’s still 12LBS which forces me to check it internationally.
