If you are on composite or relief line, then the ATTOT system cannot move your Duty Free Periods (DFPs) and the trade will fail. On occasion this issue will also be caused by CS adjusting your schedule for transition or reassignment. If you're a line holder you can call CS and they can fix it. Nothing you can do if you're reserve/composite/relief.

The new version runs the N4TL commands on demand, instead of upon login. The N4TL command in DECS is what the app uses to show you which trades are “legal”. You probably noticed older versions “Searching For Trades” a lot during your login sequence, but now it doesn’t do that anymore.
This helps in the following ways:
- Reduces the computing load on DECS (not running N4TLs unless needed)
- Reduces the time the app spends in the login/setup phase, so you can do what you want faster.
- Shows more up to date trade information (you see the trades available now, instead of the trades available when you logged in. This matters a lot during the 24 hr window)
- Displays the errors it encounters instead of just showing (0 Trades) so you’re more aware of what DECS is doing behind the scenes.
The only downside is you don’t get that “at a glance” view anymore.
The past few months CS has been doing database updates right before the trade window opens. Since the app would get a “DATABASE UPDATE” error message from DECS, it would show (0 Trades) for your trips and people got mad, thinking the app was to blame when actually it was the N4TL entry that wasn’t working. So now you get to see the DECS error messages for yourself.
You don’t have to use N4TL entries though. You can see and try a trade with any trip by doing the following > Trade With Open Time > Your Trip > Tools button (lower right) > View All Open Trips. You won’t have the “guaranteed” trade that the N4TL entries give you, but you can try any trade you want and add trips to your queue ahead of time. You can make this your default view by turning off the N4TLs in your QuickTrade Settings.
Have a little patience with the new way, I think in a few months some new features will make it better. We're working towards that final version.
