Shanghai and Beijing are nice, as are most major Asian airports; super nice actually. However, venture into some of the smaller airports in Asia, like any airport in India....trust me, I’d spend the day in ATL or JFK any day or the week.
That's my point. The steady decline of ATL and JFK makes places like GRU not so bad after all. I'm talkin leaky ceilings, broken elevators, people movers that don't move, peeling plaster, not to mention ATL employees that can't properly interact with the flying public or electrical wiring ready to fry the place.
I avoided Mumbai like the plague in the 90's, but at least India has an excuse, it IS third world. We just have city management that can't manage the place. One worthy restaurant with decent employees, just one, please.
