Is that all it took - the new year rolling through?
You say your unity hasn't subsided but you're not going to wear the lanyard? I would conclude that your unity HAS subsided just by opting not to do so anymore. We're not even close to any sort of agreement or cooling off period or whatever and already you have waned from following instructions.
The union, YOUR union has asked you to wear the lanyard. They didn't tell you to wear it until the new year or until they got new ones or until you felt like it. They asked you to wear it until you got a contract (or they tell you otherwise). Of course, no one can make you but if all mgt has to do to get you to not follow directions from your union is to take longer than you're willing to wait, this will be a much easier battle for them to win.
I mean - we're talking about a simple instruction from your Union to wear a simple lanyard.
It's amazing how little resolve some of us pilots show yet are the very ones who complain about change not coming quick enough...smh
