I can’t make any excuses for the sub industry pay the weak retro and the lack of profit sharing because Spirit is getting a steal, but we are carrying huge individual risks everyday with our Ltd and a huge collective risk in scope. These things ultimately cost us money in this deal I’m sure as Management was able to use that leverage
Fair enough. I was a bit optimistic this morning when I heard we had an AIP and was hoping that it would be something that would allow me to put my "moving on" aspirations on hold but after seeing the details I'm disappointed in myself for expecting to get anything but a turd from Spirit. Guess we'll just have to be content to remain an airline of choice for the "at least I'm not at a regional anymore" crowd for the time being. Or forever. Just my $0.02. YMMV.
