Taking this offer vs spending another 12 months trying to negotiate a bigger bump in pay rates (using another year of negotiating to make the numbers easy to digest) would cost a 3nd year FO $30,000 and a 3 year captain just over $60,000 in missed strait pay alone. I can guaranty that will not be made back in any form of retro. Not to mention the lack of scope protection, 401k contribution, if you were to medical out or if the next economic downturn happens in that period.
