I won't argue for or against this yet, but IF we vote this in, and people still leave for greener pastures and we still struggle to attract pilots, Spirit can, and most likely will, increase pay or adjust contract via LOAs to retain/attract pilots. AA, Jetblue, Virgin all had 8%+ raises out of the blue, non-contract related, as well as pretty much EVERY regional out there. Just food for thought, ALL this is pretty much amendable via LOAs or MOUs.... If this passes, I imagine many will be happy and content and feel secure making 150-200k+ plus scope plus LTD, others will complain and gripe and still try to get to big D, AA, SWA, Fedex, etc. Hopefully, we will still lose 100+ pilots a year.
FWIW, I have buddies at Delta, AA, SWA, UAL (especially UAL) and they still complain about their current contracts... Also, in 2010, SWA was highest paid 737 CAs making 216/hour.
