How much of your hourly rates are based off selling scope? What percentage of your airline’s daily departures are operated by United pilots? Has your airline ever gotten a raise on DOS of 43% and 50%+ over the life of the contract, plus a DC of 11%-15%. We strengthen our scope, LTD, retirement, pay, rigs, add long call reserve, and keep red/green, four days off between trips, vacation, and industry leading healthcare. The only perceived concession is PBS, but it appears our union is handling that rather well. Which the big 3 all already have, so there’s not much that can be said about that.
This question also is targeted at all the legacy pilots pilots telling us this AIP is garbage. What have you all given away to get your rates?
With they way mediation went, my guess is it would be another 2 years at poverty wages for a measly $10 more an hour. The loss will not be recovered and many things may change for the worse, two years is a long ways off and a lot can change in this industry in that time. It’s definitely worth waiting to read the full TA prior to making a decision, but so far I think it’s a pass. Keep most of our QOL, FO’s on second year pay clearing $100k without working extra, and all CA’s will be clearing well over $200k. Discount pilots? No.
