What PBS will do is this.. let saay you’ve been flying 90 hour lines for 10 months, you’re at 900 hours of block, PBS will now consider the fact you can only fly 100 block hours over the next 2 month. It will now limit you to 50 hours per month. If you have monthly guarantee that’s great, you’ll get your guarantee if you don’t, well guess what? 50 hours of pay.
How about vacation?? Oh your vacation starts on Fri? Good we can legally fly you till 23:59 on Thursday.. End on Wends? Great 5AM report on Thursday.
Where do I even start....
Personally I care more about dropping, and I could be the only one, but I have been averaging 500hr/yr for the last two decades so I’m not really worried about getting affected by only being able to fly 50 hours a month, but what major airline in the US does not have guarantee?
Also it is really easy to setup PBS to first build a line according to preference and only thereafter applying vacation time. You want a lot of credit? Bid to work away from vacation days. Want more time off? Bid to work vacation days. Off course getting the company to do it this way is hard but PBS itself has nothing to do with it.

I’m not a fan of PBS, but let’s keep it real.
