Yes, but with line bidding you bid for the days off you want regardless if there’s a transition conflict or not, and get extra days off paid if there is. Win win. PBS, if you happen to work the last 6 days of the month, your pattern for next month will start with 4 days on. Or if have the last 4 days off, your pattern will start as 6 on, the days you need off be damned unless you waive your 4 off right.
If you need the last few days or first few days of the month, even under our current line bid comes down to seniority. Just because we have current line bidding doesn’t mean you are guaranteed anything off . Under any system getting days off you want, regardless of where they fall in the month is a matter of seniority.
