If you're looking for some land and/or very reasonable property taxes consider looking out I-20E in Newton (Covington) or Rockdale (Conyers) Counties. It'll be about a 45-60 min drive to the airport but you can get a lot more for your dollar, not to mention a little peace and quiet.
