If you have typical mil experience, probably look first at regionals with bases where you want to live, but rule out obvious bottom feeders (just in case you get stuck for a while). If you want to really play it safe, do an AA WO so you can flow in 9 years if for some reason OTS doesn't happen. All other considerations are fairly irrelevant since your tenure will be measured in months or a year or two.

The regional world has seen big changes since I posted that a year ago... better do your homework on the bonuses, contracts, and scheduling options.
