If we go back to the table and it takes 18 months, that could easily be 35k NOT put into the 401k. 35K compounded annually at 6% over 30 years is $201,000. Could we get more? could it be longer? nobody knows. Nobody. But to sit there and say it costs nothing is flat out dumb. Not to mention current salary for 18 more months, Lack of LTD and scope. Oh I forgot those don't cost anything either. Until they do..
