As for the OP’s initial post, can’t say I disagree with his assessment at all. I will say that commuting can be total hell over the long run, though. I think the OP will start to realize that little tidbit over time.
At first I thought he was an idiot for choosing to commute for Endeavor over Envoy. I think living in base is huge. However at Envoy he will get LGA for the first few months and only get 6-8 months as an FO in DFW before being forced back to LGA as a CA.
The value of living in base is getting diminished by the forced upgrades at Envoy. The pay at Endeavor seems to out weigh living in base at Envoy.
