[QUOTE=baseball;2506253][QUOTE=terminal;2506069]But they also do line bidding which really doesn’t have he same computing requirements as PBS.
Keep It Simple Sam.
Think of all the money SWA is saving on computers.....
PBS is a concession. If SWA pilots were to concede and give in to management, they would need a 30 % pay raise to nibble on the cheese.
The CAL and UAL pilots, with one post merger contract and one extension have yet to be properly reimbursed for their concessions, the concession that keeps on giving. No manpower staffing minimums, minimum ALPA input, and no ALPA control. It's a concession because it allows the company to operate unfettered, reduce staffing, and it forces pilots to give up control, and in the end, it marginalizes and abrogates your seniority.
Seniority used to mean allot...That was before PBS. Now, not so much.
PBS isn't so much a problem in and of itself. Global solution is. There are PBS systems that exist that do not abrogate seniority and are much more user friendly.
I get your point about staffing but I would hate to go back to bidding on prebuilt lines.
