We don’t. Our NC has been butting heads with these a$$ holes and a mediator that sides with them almost exclusively.
If I was making $240 hr, had a 16% contribution and good LTD I would be a tougher guy as well.
But I don’t. I’m 49 years old. I make $72 hr with LTD that’s basically non existent, no direct contribution a scope clause that I’m waiting everyday to find out will cost us jobs and a mgmt team that doesn’t value us and a mediator that sides with them continuously.
I think the FO Pay sucks especially since PBS will now slow upgrades and keep guys as FO’s for extra years now.
But Spirit pilots are in a different spot than anyone else in the business other than probably Frontier. Even the JetBlue guys are in a better spot because there negotiating from a higher starting point.
Yet the metal still goes from A to B. Mgmt's inclination is not to pay $1 more than required to make that happen on a consistent basis. It really is the pilots/union that have to make it clear to the company that the status quo just won't last.
