How well did Alaska pay when they were a startup? (ok bad question, as that was the 30's), but how about Southwest. or Airtran, etc?

I frankly think its worse when a well established union from a well established airline votes to accept deep pay cuts, thus re-defining the pay scales of everyone smaller (including startups)..

A start up with lots of promise opens up and tells its workers .. in due time you'll get paid better (and I assume their pilots will expect it), that's not so sad in my book... that's jobs.

So you'd turn away a VX or SX pilot?
