What if the SWA pilots, when TA1 came around, had said, "Well, this is a big raise compared to what we have now; who knows what we'll lose if we spend more time negotiating?"
They didn't. They decided they weren't going to work for a discount.
Very different from some of the sentiment on this forum, which hopefully represents the minority.
Bottom line: this TA is below industry-standard compensation with concession of work rules, which ensures that Spirit gets pilots at a discount for the foreseeable future. If Spirit doesn't want to pay for Airbus pilots, it shouldn't fly the Airbus (which it doesn't get a discount for).
