You have to provide proof of their full time student status via fax or email. This is the one IT related dept at the company that actually works, because at midnight + .0000001 second on their 19th birthday and every 6 months thereafter, if you didn't update them, they're kicked out.
It doesn't work that efficiently when trying to provide the proof however. It often took me several tries and phone calls to the pass bureau to actually get the status changed.
These days, non revving is such a PITA, that I just buy the family tickets when we go somewhere and I take the jumpseat.
What about military? I know my current airline also permits those on active duty to about age 26.
