So far, it's green/red and 4 days off.
Both of which are useless under PBS.
Most will be forced to waive the 4 days to get better schedules.
Green/red is totally controlled by crew plan.
The absence of language to prevent manipulation of buffer, would severely impede drops.
PBS will dramatically reduce open time and reserves.
Furthermore, no RES drops will additionally reduce reserve coverage.
This for JetBlue rates!
There is a price for misery.
We see it in the faces and the health of folks who slave daily at jobs they hate, in the alter of $$$.
Did we enter this profession out of love, or just for the pay?
On every occasion that QOL was given up for financial gains, there was much regret, which was more pronounced during concessions.
It's only a matter of when, not if, before management will cry for "slimming" costs. The work rules however will NEVER return once given up.
The substantial scheduling concessions of TX and PBS are more that enough. Let's not give it all up.
30 months ago JetBlue +10% was the floor with only TX gone.
Have these expectations been lowered by Bendo and his "experts"?
Then they won!
I do not hold the NC responsible for this, they walked off the PBS talks.
Are we really such a weak group, or just don't care about long term?
In the past few years since the strike we have been played my management.
Rescuing them by providing CBA relief!
Passing a "gift" LOA outside of contractual negotiations!
Not counter suing for libel during the TRO!
When will it be that WE will show unity and strength?
I actually entered the profession to make money.
4 days off isnt useless, its 4 days off.
Red&Green is intact and while we can no longer drop middle days, Im pretty confident some RSV drops will still be allowed.
Im not jumping up and down in excitment for this AIP but lets stick to some facts.
You are going to mention the negatives, might as well mention a few of the positives so far.........
LTD, Keeping 4-days off, Red/Green, Keeping health insurance, increase in pay albiet not what we had hoped for, Switching over to a DC plan that slowly but surely does scale up to 15%, and a 200% system that is more fair than what we have now.
Its a negotiation, nobody should be thrilled, its give and take. Wait for the T/A, go over it with a notepad and go to the roadshows and vote accordingly.
