You have it all backwards. You say LCC’s will have no trouble hiring pilots. Where do they get pilots when the majors hire them? They obviously won’t stay at a place with low pay and no QOL. United stock took a hit because it means bad news for the LCC’s. Wall Street invests in LCC’s too and when UA grows it hurts them. All your angst is directed in the wrong direction. You strike me as the type who may like it over at NAI. You should check it out. LCC’s here and abroad have their niche, the t-shirt and beanie crowd, but they won’t make a dent in UA, AA, DL or WN. Question where do LCC’s get there feed when they fly point to point? They don’t have feed. Where are their high end business travelers and corporate accounts? They don’t have any. Good luck kid.

Southwest has been around for over 4 decades and the majors are still here. Most major passengers wouldn't be caught dead on a SWA plane and vice versa. Thank goodness. The threat to UAL, AA, and DAL is not RJs but foreign carriers. Just as foreign cargo killed the Merchant Marine so too foreign pilots MAY kill US majors and if that doesn't work automation surely will. Honestly, if I were 30 or younger I would NOT consider aviation as a career.
