Right out of the FOM. It's not hard people! The main point of the FOSA was that people aren't actually following the checklist and this is just another symptom of that. It doesn't say you can never use flaps 4. It says they don't recommend it and they will ban the practice of using flaps 4 to silence the gear warning in a revision. Ask the number of people who have landed gear up in a light twin because they got in a bad habit of silencing the gear horn what they think of that practice.

For me, I'm going to keep doing 1, 2, 3, 4, Full until socal approach controllers stop trying to drop me in to SNA so late. (Or until there's actually an AOM revision that explains how they want you to do a flaps full landing).
