Flaps Full is not really needed for the airports that Compass flies to. The only time I could see Flaps Full here being needed is if you want to get off 25L at Golf.
The plane was designed that if you want Flaps Full, you're supposed to go to Flaps 5, not Flaps 4. In Flaps 4, there won't be a gear up warning (as someone mentioned earlier). In their wisdom, Embraer decided that "landing with the gear up" is worse than "landing with flaps warning". Some long gone CKA or non-SLIP instructor probably made up the Flaps 4 thing, and most of us just follow it blindly now.
