I read the posts and I was embarassed, but they're 23, what do you honestly expect? Clearly that's what DL wants. But you just aren't mature yet at age 23, you still have a developing brain, period.
Nobody can sit back and tell me a 23 year old "worked hard" and "earned it". But it isn't their fault either and it's pretty douchey to call them out. It's just a broken system. Good for them that they are the recipients, but don't go bragging about how you will always be senior to me like you did something to deserve it because I'm older. There are 30 year olds getting the call that really didn't do much to deserve it, either.
And let's be real, look at the course catalog for this degree:

"Aviation Career Planning 101". What a tough degree... go earn your ratings (with in house certification, not even FAA checkrides...) and get a degree out of the deal. Tell me that's more qualified than someone with a masters degree in an actual academic science, who volunteers with lots of organizations and does stuff for the company, etc, and oh yeah has experience flying left seat at this company and keeps a positive attitude the whole time. Those are the people that ought to be getting called first, sorry, and I don't mean myself. If you're complaining on twitter or forums about your sour life though, there's some introspection required as to why you're not getting called, tho, that's another story altogether..
