We can play smart, United will have full control and hire the best and brightest. But you definitely not wrong, you would be be able to say you're correct on one thing and get what you wished. LCC's will in fact hire United regional pilots. Best and brightest doesn't include everyone. Also not every single United regional pilot will apply at United., -you said yourself you would rather go to Spirit. and thats great! And i'm sure there others out there.
So much hatred towards RJ pilots. Sad! Why would I go to United if I can go to Delta and upgrade in less than a year making over 200 an hour? Companies like Delta hire the best and brightest. I’m happy that United is your dream job and they take care of the pilots. I don’t care to fly for mainline because I don’t enjoy red-eyes, long-haul, or wearing a hat. Let’s be real—you don’t need to be the best and brightest to fly at the regionals, mainline, or LCCs.
