People have it wrong. They are only “High Valued Aviators” for the company’s most critical need (Street Captain’s). That’s what the bonus all about, it’s to lure captain qualified or nearly captain qualified “Aviators.” Once at Indoc & papers signed, and 2yr commitment signed. They have you and have paid enough to decided where they need you (displacement).
Your ass is company property. Your a $45K asset. So your a “High Value Aviator.”
I’m totally ok not being a High Value Aviator the way the company interprets it[emoji57].
I’m totally happy. My work is not my life though. My life is my family, and the means and resources to do more for them and other people/programs/organizations in need that I care about. I don’t need this job to survive. I enjoy performing my duties and executing my responsibilities. I enjoy getting mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, families, leaders, workers, together and where they need to be safely and efficiently. I don’t need to love the subsidiary company I work for because this company does view us Pilots as career pilots. That viewpoint died with Eagle. Envoy is a stepping stone. Company wants you all to realize that.
