Just out of curiosity, but if you want to get your time and move on then why wouldn't you want to upgrade? I ask this in all seriousness. Yes, I understand reserve and commuting sucks but sitting reserve as an FO and not flying does nothing to help you move forward in your career. Time is seniority as they say. And I would wager that on the captains side of things the reserve guys will be flying a lot in the near future with the imbalance that we will have. The PIC time will be far more valuable, so I'm just curious...
