This. How can you look yourself in the mirror at this point and say an LCC is not an option? Is going into debt for a year really a horrible option vs the unemployment line? I think at this point it’s just laziness and apathy that keeps people frozen where they are. A new type rating goes a long way in the eyes of a recruiter.
It’s not saying ULCC (the ones I mentioned are not LCCs), is not an option, it is weighing uprooting your family and commuting to a ULCC or staying in base with a different regional. I know it’s hard to grasp, but just flying a bigger jet is not always the objective for some. This is a dilemma I’m facing. Commute to a ULCC, or stay in base with a different regional.
