It will be no better than the set of conditions you’re under now, except in the year 2025 or 2026. For those who make it to Spirit around the age of 33 and plan to retire at age 65, 8 years under the next contract will be 25% of your entire career. I wouldn’t be in a huge hurry to start that 8 year clock on a painful “fly it and grieve it” contract. Whackmaster is right, don’t sacrifice your leverage. You guys have waited too long to settle now. You have my support, I’ll be at your next picket!
Thanks for the personal attack, stay classy! That said, I appreciate your support in our picketing events.
However, I won't be voting to appease you. I'll be doing what's best, in my opinion, for me and my career. That's why it's called voting and everyone has the ability to cast theirs. Should the TA fail, so be it. On to another X amount of time for the next one (most likely another year or more). If it passes, so be it. On to the clock starting for the next bargaining cycle.
