Should the TA fail, so be it. On to another X amount of time for the next one (most likely another year or more). If it passes, so be it. On to the clock starting for the next bargaining cycle.
Absolutely, vote what is best for you in a TA. You were spinning the idea that starting the clock on 5 year (realistically 7-8 year) TA is good thing so you can get back to the table sooner. My argument was that if you get the TA you (yes, you) want now, then you don’t have to worry about expediting your return to the table for the next round of negotiations. Understood?
