I am a little surprised at the change in hotel language. To me it is as big an effect on QOL as anything else (former Mesa here). It's our home away from home. Since coming here from the regionals I've noticed my overall health has improved because of our long stay overnights (better workout facilities, more healthy dining options, access to a variety of amenities as a pedestrian, etc).

The majority of my overnights here are in the 15-17 hour range which under the new TA would put us in whatever low income area is right next to the airport, complete with a waffle house and Micky Ds across the street.
