Republic management has the experience of consolidating 3 certificates into 1, so they would bring that experience to a merger. After bankruptcy the big 3, GE, Embraer, and others got a piece of the ownership stake as creditors. I believe they are all probably looking for their pay day to recoup what was lost in bankruptcy. The only way they could do that is to either go public or sell the company. That’s my theory at least...
