I remember being in training across the street at Flightsafety about 7 years ago or so. I was standing by the windows talking with an instructor and I asked him with serious concern what he thought the future of the company was. Things were already bleak then, and in my mind it didn’t look good. He pointed to the new Expressjet sign recently assembled atop the cheap blue building known as “a-tech” and he said, “Look at that. You see that new sign? This place won’t be going anywhere for a long, long time.”

Ironic that if you look hard enough you can still see “Eastern” bleed through that bankruptcy-blue paint job.
