Though I think the prospects are dim for any AE guys going to AA, I would imagine not all AE guys would make the move, even if it meant flying a big jet.

Furthermore, any guy who is senior enough to be flowed through (Captain with 2000-7000 PIC turbine time) would have been very competitive at CAL, NWA, Delta, United, Southwest, etc. etc. etc...so one would think that the guys sitting way Senior are happy where they are...if they wanted big jets and even bigger pay eventually, why aren't they at the aforementioned airlines already???

Of the 1,500 or so who get numbers, many might retire, leave, or stay at AE even if they're called up.

Actually 7-9 year AE captains are making about $71-75 an hour.... 2nd year AA FO on the 80 is at $73 an hour. We will have some guys that will go into the A300 and 767 which around $81-$83 an hour. I don't see the huge paycut you are talking about. QOL is also much better.

Before you say I could I know.... I was at Simmons prior to AA.

For what it is worth.
