In the last 12 months:
294 dudes retired at 65, 81% of them were on active status, that is 65% of all that retired in last year.
83 dudes retired between 60-64, 65% of them were active pilots. That's 19% of all retired in last year.
54 retired between 50-59, 47% were active, 12% of all in 12 months.
Few more that are younger, about half are active.
Yes, under Trump retirement accounts do much better, but to say that DAL has mass retirements prior to 65 is not the case yet, IMHO.
The non actives should be counted as not making it to 65 as well. By my math, that means that 238 of the retirements last year were pilots who made it on the line until 65 (this accounts for the non-active pilots who were no longer flying)
This puts it at 68% of pilots making retiring from active states at 65 last year. Or 32% of pilots did not make it to 65.
I'd say that could be considered a significant number.
