When I jumpseat it helps if I am in uniform, less probing, get to go through the crew line for the x-ray, and do not need to go to the counter, just show ID to TSA and proceed to the x-ray machines.
(Plus you don't have to check any of your bags.)
If you hate the superhero outfit that much just change once past security. I usually just sleep in the uniform, the epillates (sp) catch the drool better than the polo shirts anyways.
I usually do the quick change after I find the right gate. If anybody asks why I just tell 'em I'm changing so I don't have to answer stupid a$$ questions anymore.
