Yes they can take away pass riding but they will also use the Blue Book HR manual and it’s legalisms to paint a picture... insubordination, not following SOP, being untruthful... etc. Standard management 101 stuff that destroys employee morale.
I doubt a contract requiring one party to work for another party for free is legally enforcable in any state.
